Meadville, PA
The Summer Parks Program is returning for our fifth summer in 2026, through a collaboration between the YMCA, Creating Landscapes, the City of Meadville, and other area non-profits. The program, centered around free play and nature exploration, is free to attend for children who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade. The dates for the 2026 program are June 15-August 7. We will be closed on June 19 and July 3.
The Meadville YMCA provides free, healthy lunches throughout the summer.
Field trips have included Snyder Farm, Woodcock, and Goodell Gardens, as well as walking trips to Meadville Public Library.
The children have the opportunity for weekly art lessons with Mr. Marley. We have art materials available each day for the kids to explore.
Free play is the center of our daily activities and includes finding crayfish in the creek, rolling down the grassy hill, drawing, painting, drumming, climbing, and inventing. Crawford County Drug & Alcohol also provides STEM activities during free play several days per week.
